Privacy
The short version: we keep only what we need to run Spread, we don't sell it, and we don't load third-party trackers. Everything below is just the detail.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address — nothing more.
- What you enter. The business names, locations, and details you give us so we can run an AI-visibility report.
- How the site is used. Basic, first-party analytics — pages viewed, clicks, and errors — so we can fix problems and improve the product.
Signing in with Google
We use Google sign-in with the openid, email, and profile scopes only. That means we can see your name and email to create your account. We cannot read your Gmail, Calendar, Drive, or any other Google data, and we never ask for that access.
Analytics, done first-party
Our analytics run on our own server — there's no Google Analytics, no ad pixels, and no external tracking scripts anywhere on this site. When we note where a visit came from, we store a salted, one-way hash of your IP address, never the raw IP, along with coarse details like device type and browser. We use this to understand traffic and catch errors, not to build a profile of you.
Cookies
We use a single cookie to keep you signed in. It's httpOnly, sent only over HTTPS in production, and scoped to this site. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Where your data lives
Your account and reports are stored in our own database on our own server. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service — for example, an AI model provider to generate reports, and our hosting provider — and we share only what's needed for those functions to work.
Your choices
- You can delete a report from your dashboard at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it — just email us and we'll take care of it.
